The LIFT directive was updated from the original 95/16 / EC to 2014/33 / EU Lifts and safety components for lifts
Scope of the LIFT Directive: This Directive applies to lifts used in permanent buildings and constructions. For the purpose of this Directive, the term “lift” refers to a piece of equipment used at a specific height and transported according to its intended purpose: personnel; Personnel and cargo; if the vehicle allows it, the cargo is carried separately.
Straight ladders and safety components for straight ladders, certification standard EN 81 (escalators or sidewalks are not part of this directive --- European standard EN 115)
The Elevator Directive 95/16 / EC specifies the type approval list required for the following products:
Speed limiter
Buffer
3. Safety gear
4. Door lock device
5. Safety circuit with electronic components
5. Uplink overspeed protection device
6. Lift elevator
